NOTE FROM THE LIBRARY

  1. Thanks to all students who returned their books.  Don’t forget to return your books and magazines today if you had forgotten them at home or in your locker.
  2. Due to the upcoming exams and the last-minute course completion requirements, the Library will be open for quiet working and studying only.  [This does not apply to classes whose teachers have booked them into the Library.]  Those students needing extra time for class work will be welcome.  Ask for help if you need it.
  3. Please be aware that no materials may be signed out of the Library until September, but students are welcome to read their favourite magazines or books within the library.

CASUAL LABOUR FOR YOUTH – Service Canada for Youth has dropped off Casual Labour Application Forms for students who are 17 years of age or older.  Come to the Student Support Centre to pick one up.

HIKING CLUB – Last hike of the year is this Saturday.  Everyone is welcome to join in on a hike to Biggs Park.  The hike is easy and very scenic.  See Ms. McRory in Room A110 by Wednesday after school to sign up.

GRAD CEREMONY INVITATIONS – Grads – pick up your Graduation Ceremony invitations from Mrs. Girard in the office

CHOIR MEMBERS – A reminder to all Choir members to meet in the Gym at 1:00 PM on Thursday in your concert outfit for the Awards Assembly.

TEXTBOOKS – To all students of Wellington – please make sure that the textbook you have been assigned is still the textbook you have in your possession.  Soon you will be asked to return your course textbooks – make sure the one that you have for the course is actually the one you have been assigned.  Check with your teachers if you are unsure.

LOST – A 16 GB Duracell Data Stick has been lost.  Please bring it to the office if found.

MISSING – A backpack with a wallet and shorts went missing from the boys PE locker bay.  If you find this backpack please bring it to the office.

DISTRICT HONOURS NIGHT – Congratulations to Wellington students who received awards last evening at the Port Theatre.  Particularly noteworthy was the cheering and support Wellington students provided each other as they received their awards.  Also, noteworthy was the Bass performance by Avery Littlemore and John Lee and the pre-event music by the Jazz Ensemble.  Way to go Wellington Grads!
